Head instructor, Delta Grappling Academy
Greg leads the adult program at Delta and is the academy's black belt. He earned it in 2023 under Professor Robin Gieseler of Gracie Ohio, one of Relson Gracie's first ten black belts.
Greg Schaffer is the head instructor at Delta Grappling Academy and a first-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Professor Robin Gieseler, an 8th-degree coral belt and head of Gracie Ohio, promoted him to black belt in 2023.
That promotion places Greg in a direct line that runs from Robin to Grandmaster Relson Gracie, Hélio Gracie, Carlos Gracie and Mitsuyo Maeda. At Delta, it shows up in how he teaches: technique that has to work against resistance, and self-defense kept close to the center of the curriculum.
