Hit pads, not each other

Kids kickboxing teaches stance, footwork and clean combinations, then puts them to work on pads and bags. It's a hard hour of moving that tires kids out in the best way.

Structure is the point. Kids learn to follow directions, wait their turn and control their power, and focus comes along with the coordination.

It pairs well with Kids Jiu-Jitsu on Monday and Wednesday: striking two days a week, grappling the other two, and a well-rounded young martial artist by the end of it.

How a class runs

  1. Warm-up

Footwork drills, jumping and movement games.

  2. Technique

Stance, punches and kicks taught one piece at a time.

  3. Pad and bag work

Combinations on pads held by coaches and partners.

  4. Conditioning finish

A short, fun burst to end class strong.

Kids Kickboxing questions

Is kickboxing safe for young kids?

Classes focus on technique, pads and bags, with coaches running every drill. Kids learn control before anything else.

Does my child need their own gloves?

Ask us when you book the first class and we'll tell you what to bring.

Can my child do jiu-jitsu too?

Yes. Kids Jiu-Jitsu meets Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 PM, so the two programs fit on alternating days.

Can I watch?

Yes. Parents can watch from the chairs by the mat.
