Eight limbs, before work

Muay Thai adds knees, elbows and the clinch to punches and kicks, which is why it's called the art of eight limbs. Class builds those tools one at a time and strings them into combinations on pads and bags.

One member's review sums up the room: lots of fun, lots of work, and a mix of conditioning, sets and sparring where everyone goes at your pace, so you never feel beaten up or behind.

At 6:30 AM you're done by 7:30 with the whole day ahead of you. Muay Thai also rounds out kickboxing and jiu-jitsu if you already train in the evenings.

Muay Thai questions

How is Muay Thai different from kickboxing?

Muay Thai adds elbows, knees and the clinch, and it uses the shins for kicking. Kickboxing here focuses on punches and kicks.

Who teaches Muay Thai?

Coach Nick Miller teaches the Wednesday 6:30 AM class.

Do I need experience?

No. Beginners are welcome, and partners work at your pace.

Can I take Muay Thai and kickboxing?

Yes. Kickboxing runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, so the two fit together easily.
