“It's literally the best gym EVER. Such an amazing group of people who just want to help each other build and grow as you continue through your journey. A very down to Earth community, one that you want to be a part of.”

The Legion Project is a group of veterans that uses Brazilian jiu-jitsu to help people who've served deal with the weight that service can leave behind, including PTSD, depression and anxiety. It partners with gyms across central Ohio, and Delta is one of them.
Delta dedicates its Thursday 6:30 PM no-gi class to the Legion Project. It's free for veterans, fire, police, EMS and other first responders, regardless of membership. The aim is simple: a place to build camaraderie, set goals and get the physical and mental benefits of training alongside people who understand the job.
The We Defy Foundation gives combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities a long-term way to work through them with Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Accepted veterans get a sponsored year of training at an approved facility, and Delta is one of those facilities.
Applications open in short windows and often fill within hours. The next window opens December 6, 2026 at 2 PM Eastern.

Veterans (active, National Guard, Reserve, retired or former), police, firefighters, EMS and other first responders. Delta also welcomes park rangers, school resource officers and similar public-safety roles.
